Accessibility Statement
We are committed to ensuring that our website, ai.southampton.ac.uk, is accessible to as many people as possible. Our aim is to meet recognised accessibility standards and to make continuous improvements so that everyone can use our site with ease.
This website is currently in Phase 1 of a wider development project. During this initial phase, we have focused on establishing the core structure, content, and functionality of the site. We have already taken steps to review and audit this phase against accessibility best practice and identified several areas where improvements can be made.
We are fully committed to addressing these findings. These improvements will be implemented during Phase 2 of the project, which is scheduled to begin in early January 2026. As part of Phase 2, we will continue to audit accessibility, refine user journeys, and improve the experience for all visitors ensuring we are compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 A standard.
This accessibility statement will be updated during Phase 2 to:
Confirm the progress we have made,
Set out further improvements we plan to make,
Provide a clear and accountable timeline for completing the remaining work.
We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any barriers in the meantime or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us directly at ai@soton.ac.uk
